Check print blazers have been my favorites when it comes to fall fashion for quite some time now. Reason being their ability to transform an all basic outfit into a really sophisticated and put-together one. It’s like the perfect backup plan for days when you have no idea what to wear but you want to do more than just jeans and a hoodie. Throw on a nice blazer, add small accessories and boom – you look like you actually planned this outfit the night before.
Being a crazy ass Pinterest user I get a lot of my inspiration from there and checked blazers are definitely something you would see a lot in there. There’s endless ways of styling them and the most fun part is choosing the right styling for yourself.
For this particular autumn day I decided to be bold and mix two different check prints which is something I would normally never do but I had promised myself to step out of my comfort zone more this season and experiment with fashion in ways that I had never done before. It’s always so exciting to put together outfits that are out of the “normal” and dress up differently from your day-to-day life. Although I wish I could dress like this every day. Another thing to try to do more of!
I guess me sharing this look with you here can prove that I ended up really liking this outfit haha. I was quite hesitant on the two different similar prints part but in the end I thought it made the whole look more interesting. I paired my all time favorite black H&M boots and a nice T-shirt from the William Morris & Co. x H&M collection to complete the look. This tee is my favorite at the moment! It only costs 9,99€ and looks and feels fantastic, so definitely go check out your nearest store to try it on yourself.
More ways for styling
As I mentioned before these kind of blazers are so easy to style and you can create very different outfits with them. This time I chose the more masculine look with suit pants, high bun and quite heavy ankle boots but replacing the trousers with a mid-length pleated skirt and choosing your regular court heels and you would get a whole new feel to this outfit.
TIP OF THE DAY
Don’t be scared to mix patterns! Fashion is about fun and sometimes having “too much” going on is better than having nothing going on.
