Travelling has always been something that I really love and by that, I even mean the packing that goes on days before the trip itself. Well, I say days, but in reality, I’ve packed all my luggage the day before in most cases. This time around I was a little bit more prepared and planned all of my outfits like 2-3 days before the flight. It turned out to be so fun that I’m definitely trying to do it next time too!
Our stay was short but I still planned eight outfits – 4 for days and 4 for nights. It turned out to be so damn hot even in the evenings that I didn’t get to wear exactly what I had planned but almost everything went into use. Great way to prevent packing unnecessary things!
Day one
We arrived in Milan before 12 PM which meant that we had the whole day ahead of us. Since the weather was boiling hot I decided to wear my most light outfit first. I wore my favorite summer top that I purchased last year from an online store (can’t seem to find it anymore lol) and that I hadn’t worn once this year. I still love it so much and think it looks quite flattering on! For bottoms, I chose these basic denim shorts from H&M that again, were purchased 1-2 years ago. I had never worn them because I thought that they were too short for my taste but that day it was so hot that I decided to roll with it. I brought 4 pairs of shoes with me – 1 pair of trainers, 1 pair of sandals and 2 pairs of heels. Most of the time I chose the trainers because again, it was way too hot (I don’t know how many times I can complain about one thing). But all together I really liked this outfit and it was a good thing I had planned beforehand.

In the evening I chose to wear a back dress and a pair of strappy heels, both from H&M again. I planned on throwing on a red faux suede jacket but I guess I would’ve pretty much died in it. We walked around a lot and sat down for dinner in one of the many restaurants. Fun fact – I tried gnocchi for the first time and I was so disappointed. Not something for my taste I guess.

Day two
Our second day involved a lot of walking and sightseeing again. I wore a very casual outfit but I tried to have at least one more feminine piece in each outfit. For this one, it was the skirt that actually my sister gave me since it was a bit big on her. I love it although I had to pull it down like 200 times. The top I’m wearing is from Adidas (obvs) but I’m not sure which store exactly since my boyfriend bought it for me when he was visiting the US in June. It’s very cropped but with high waisted skirts or jeans, it looks cute!
The evening was once again warmer than we expected so I had to ditch the blazer that I was planning on wearing. I also switched from heels to sneakers again since the ones that I had weren’t really comfortable for a 3-or-so-hours walk that we did. But I liked this outfit anyway! Everything from H&M again (maybe it will change now that I don’t work there anymore, haha). The faux leather skirt has to be my favorite item, it just looks cool and chic I think. Thanks, sis!

Day three
On our third day, we did some shopping and enjoyed the city more than the days before. From my personal experience, I can say that the more time I had spent there the more I got used to the people and the city vibe and I learned to love it. Something in the air felt really inspiring to me! When we got back to the hotel room for an outfit change we both chose to wear the new clothes that we had just bought, haha. SO typical of me!
In the evening we were determined to have a nice Italian dinner somewhere and enjoy the sunset by the Duomo. We had already sat down in one place and ordered our drinks when we realized that the place doesn’t serve food. Let’s just say that I had to drink my wine pretty fast so we could leave and find a new place haha. Fortunately, our next choice was a good one! I wore my new lovely dress which I am still obsessed with! I feel like it is so “me” and since I’m trying to change my style up a bit it fits perfectly. I also put on a new pair of boots and let me tell you that it’s been hard not to wear them every day. Love love love them!

Day four
Our last day started in a magical way because got to see the rooftop terrace of Duomo. It was so beautiful there that we just kept taking pictures. Definitely a nice way to end our first ever trip together. I chose to wear a pretty “smart” outfit because I had read that it’s not appropriate to visit the Duomo with bare shoulders etc. But turned out that nobody really cared… Nevertheless, I enjoyed my outfit choice and felt comfortable in it. All things are from H&M except these checked pants that I purchased the day before. I think I’ve never been so happy with my shopping abroad haha!
