Happy 2020, my loves! I hope it’s still okay to wish that. Well, it is for me since I haven’t talked to you this year yet. Since we are now wayyy into the new year and I haven’t been posting lately, I thought that this 2019 recap post would be the perfect fit. I just can’t close the decade without looking back to what was one of the best years of my life.
January
I started last year in a really active way which was good. I challenged myself and signed up for funk fusion dance classes and went dancing 2x a week and also did gym days as much as I could. And we also started to go running with Marko. In the middle of winter, just running through the snowy trails. I remember that my days were basically only work and different workouts in the evening! Still proud of that time, haha.
February
February pretty much went the same way as January but I remember one particularly fun day when my mom came to the city and we had a really good time celebrating Independence Day. One thing I’m the most grateful for is building a new friendship and now I can honestly say that I can’t imagine my life without my special girl Liisa! I never thought it would be possible to meet someone who would become my best friend so late in my life, haha. I remember that the first time we hung out together at my place, we just kept saying: “Wait, are we the SAME person?!”. Because we are so similar in so many ways! Love ya, girl!
March
What an interesting month… I have no memories (and basically no pictures) from March, haha! I guess by that point I was so busy with my final internship and thesis that it took most of my time. But I guess it’s alright since it really was the only month I lost to my school work. Still can’t believe that it’s over!! 4 years of endless assignments and all the time that went into all of that. But it feels nice to update my level of education whenever it’s needed somewhere, lol!
April
Birthday month! I always get excited about my birthday, even if I don’t have any plans to celebrate it. This year was also really mellow and I just hang out with my twin-sister and exchanged gifts. I have such a bad memory that when I don’t take pictures then I won’t remember anything that I did. That’s why I don’t recall anything else from that month. But April on its own is a really good month because it starts to get warm and green outside!
May
May was a beautiful month because:
1. my nephew was born and I got to meet him. He is the cutest! I’ve never been a baby person but he’s the only baby I could just watch forever.
2. The weather was so summery and warm – gotta love that!
3. Finished with my thesis!!!
June
The. Best. Month. Ever. I am always looking forward to June because I usually have my summer holiday then. In 2019 it was extra special because our graduation day was the first day of my vacation. And it was Marko’s 25th birthday the day before. So many things to celebrate, I loved it! After graduation, I had the most fun night out with my bestie! Honestly, I think I haven’t had such a lovely night out like ever, haha. There was this party at an outside bar and they were playing some retro hits from our childhood and it was the besttt. The next day we started our 3-hour drive to Pühajärve with Marko and his friend. This year it was only the 3 of us but those 2 days were still amazing! We got so lucky with the weather again this year and I guess that’s why these memories are always extra special. Straight from Pühajärve, I went to my mom’s and on the next day we started our South-Estonian road trip with my mom and my twin sister. What a perfect summer month!
July
In July I had some of my best summer days. I guess that the weather was nice haha! My favorite memories are sunset picnic with my babe, our fun adventures driving around unknown places and one chilled but fun night out with Liisa. And then of course Rally Estonia which is always such fun because we get to spend time in the most beautiful GMP Clubhotel. AND it’s a fun adventure on itself. God, I love those summer memories!
August
Last summer month! I feel like I always put a little bit more pressure on August because it’s the last month of summer and I want to make sure that I have a good summer lol. But I do have some great memories from that month! I went on a few adventures with my boyfriend and one time Liisa came with us. We went to this beautiful 7km trail and ended up getting lost in the dark woods. It was definitely scary but also fun! But I guess my favorite evening was watching (especially beautiful sunset) sunset on the beach while having pizza and wine with my sister Liina. So nice!
September
At the beginning of the month, my boyfriend and I went to see Nöep live which was so nice! Another idyllic evening. Sometime after that, we went to Milan for a few days. Our first trip together! It was the best. Super hot weather every day and beautiful street views. I’m still smiling when I think back about it. How did I get so blessed this year thooo?
October
Fun fashion month for me! I always fall in love with fall fashion and I enjoy experimenting with different looks. I feel like this year I had some pretty cute outfits if I do say so myself. But since October is the most beautiful fall month, it’s always fun to go on adventures in nature, too!
November
One life-changing month I would say! I started my new job and it’s my first job in an office. I feel like an adult now, haha, not really! But I am genuinely happy that this situation got sorted in my life because I was in a pretty sad state before that. I guess I could say that it was a good month career-wise. We also discussed a lot about our business with my sister and we got a lot of things cleared out. And now instead of just dreaming, we are taking small steps to make that dream come true soon. Good things take time! Oh, and we went to a really fun fashion event together, too. Really got us motivated!
December
Moving month! Finally, finally, we got the keys to our first own home and we moved in just before Christmas. It was a crazy month because in addition to moving I had A LOT going on at work and we had to close a lot of things up before Christmas. Fortunately, I got to relax a bit before Christmas madness when we went on a spa-weekend with Marko. It was so nice and relaxing. A few days after that it was holidays all the way and they were really nice! This month brought so many good memories. Definitely a nice way to end the year!
I am actually surprised that this year was SO GOOD! I guess it can be easy to take some things for granted as they are happening but right now looking back to everything, I can’t help but smile! I am so happy about everythinggg. Well, there was this one thing that 2019 was bad for – content creating. I feel like I could’ve been way more active and there were many things to share with you but I guess life got the better of me! Now that 2020 is here, I’m feeling way more motivated and READY for blogging, vlogging and everything else. I honestly can’t thank you enough if you stuck around this year!! Now let’s make 2020 THE YEAR!!
