Hey hey hey, I am SO happy you are reading this. I’ve decided to start blogging again after a very long break here. I feel like I’ve missed blogging so much more than I thought I would and it’s time to get back into the habit. Reading back to my olds posts recalls so many good memories and that is the best part of blogging to me. That’s why I’ve decided to keep it quite casual here from now on. I know I’ve changed that concept around a lot but I feel like lifestyle and daily things are something that I really love to write and read about. Of course, I will still do fashion, interior, and beauty posts but I will not restrict myself from writing about my daily adventures if I feel like it 🙂 .
2020 has been quite the year! The current state of the world is obviously not very good but I feel like it makes us appreciate all the little things even more and it’s important now more than ever to focus on the positive. It’s also something that I learned from the book that I just finished yesterday – The Book of Joy by Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. So I guess it’s only logical that I’m sharing my 5 GOOD things that have happened this year!
#1 Flying to France
Visiting my older sister in France! Can’t believe that it was this year! I went with my mom and it was the first time we went on a trip like this together. It was so nice! We flew there at the begging of January and I remember thinking that “Oh, the first thing I do this year is traveling, I will make this the best travel-year for myself”. How ironic! But at least I got to check that 1-trip-a-year box 😂.
#2 Unforgettable birthday
Well, I guess this here is a little bittersweet because I had to spend my 25th birthday in quarantine. I always thought I would be going on a nice holiday for that but you know, there’s always next year! By April 11th it was clear that all the restaurants, cinemas, shopping malls etc. are closed for some time. BUT I still created myself a nice birthday by ordering a beautiful cake, eating loads of good food, watching movies, and feeling happy to stay safe at home.
#3 Our kitchen!!
Oooh, how we had been waiting for this day! We finally got our kitchen installed last month and I am obsessed. Switching from mainly pre-made foods to homecooked full nutrition foods has been amazing. I’ve already cooked so many new recipes in the last few weeks and there’s so much more that I want to try out. I did a little kitchen reveal on my YT channel, so if you haven’t seen it then you can see it HERE. Now I am planning out all the decorations and there will definitely be an update when the kitchen is fully done.
This year’s Midsummer was really special for many reasons. First of all – the weather was SO nice! It’s usually always raining at least a little bit during these holidays but this year it was just perfect summer weather. I still can’t really believe it. Secondly, since all the events were canceled we decided to rent a summer house with some friends and we had so much fun! We went with my sister and our two basic school besties. And almost all of us had our guys with us which was quite special for us! I love this memory!
#5 Starting a brand
Last month my sister and I launched our first dresses from our own clothing brand Adore You. We created these beautiful summer dresses to start our own little business and reveal the concept of our brand. At the moment there is still a lot that we need to get sorted but hopefully, we will launch our own online store this fall. Our own brand has been a dream that we have shared from childhood and I am so so happy that have gotten so much work done and we are finally ready to start! You can shop our dresses HERE.
2020 has not been an easy year but it has definitely brought some good things in my life which I am so grateful for. I think it’s just how they say that you can’t have good things without the bad ones! If you are reading this then think about 5 good things that happened in your life this year and I guarantee that you will have a smile on your face 🙂 .
Until next time! xx0
