Okay, so we are halfway through January already but I think it’s never too late to set some goals
and plans for the new year. For me, this is the month of fresh starts and getting
ready for everything new. It’s about deciding what are the key thing for the upcoming year
and what do I want to really focus on. I like to take this month with a peace of mind
because I don’t like going into the year with unrealistic goals and a schedule that will make me
feel tired by the end of the month. But I still like to get busy and make plans on how
to achieve the things that I really want. So here’s what I have in mind for 2019.
Mind & Body
Starting off with the basics – health and fitness. Last year was definitely a struggle in that sense
but I’ve set my goals straight this year and I’m hoping for good some good changes. I’ve taken
a long brake from the gym but I’ve missed it a lot and now it’s time to get back at it. I
also want to start going running 1-2 times a week and see if I can run 10km in a row by the
end of the year. Although I’ve always loved running I lose my durability quite fast and that why
I need to keep it consistent if I want to be able to run long distance. Also on my bucket list is trying
out a new way of working out. I’m ready to set some new challenges for my body.
But to be honest now, working out has never really been a problem for me. It’s the diet part
that makes it sooo hard. At the same time I know that whenever I’ve managed to get into a
good routine with it I feel more positive and energetic and this is something that motivates me.
When it comes to healthy eating plans and goals I don’t want to get too strict with it.
My plan for now is to eat healthy foods from M-F and take it more easy on the weekends.
In all possible ways! I want to learn more and educate myself in general. I’ve made a commitment
of reading a book every single day which is HUGE for me since I haven’t been into
it for so many years now. But in addition I want to develop some good habits that I feel would be beneficial
in the future. This includes drinking enough water, doing research for all the projects I want
to do, filling out my agenda, staying consistent with my plans.
Although I want to work really hard this year and make it all about achieving the things that
I’ve been longing for, I also want to do more fun stuff. Trying out new activities and making
more plans for weekends. Visiting concerts and new cafes is definitely something I will
focus on during the summer. Although I don’t have any big travel plans this year, I want to explore
our own country more and just make the best of it.
Prepare for the move
As I’ve mentioned before this year is all about getting ready for the big move which will
be happening (hopefully) next spring. I want to make sure that I save enough money
so that we can start decorating right away. Since we will only have our bathroom done
the list of the things we need to purchase once we get the keys is pretty much endless.
I feel like I want to get rid on everything that we have in this apartment and start completely fresh.
Work for my dream job
It is no secret that my biggest goal in life is to make myself a career that I actually enjoy.
I’ve been working for 5 years and during that time I’ve realized that being my own boss
would be my perfect job. Therefore it’s time to start working towards it even more
and make some challenges for this year.
So that pretty much sums up my 2019 to-do list. I’m feeling super motivated and RIGHT about
this year. Sending you the best of luck on making your dreams come true this year!
